Smooth reading

I recently read this book to brush up on comp sci fundamentals and prepare for technical interviews. It's been 20 years since my undergrad years and this book helped so much for me to get up to speed that I felt I should leave a review. I really enjoyed it and I thought the writing was very smooth considering the subject. Usually these books tend to be very dry and boring. I felt that the material was very well organized and the authors chose very good examples and gave information on smaller subjects very carefully. I recommend this book unreservedly.

The best way to truly understand a data structure or an algorithm is to write the real code and debug it. Comparing with Introduction to Algorithms and Algorithms (4th Edition), this book has Java implementation for nearly all fundamental ADTs and algorithms. I strongly recommend this book to who are learning algorithms by self.

The following year, he took on a leadership role and coached and mentored 5 rookie branch managers. His team produced over $360,000 in just 6 months, earning him Executive of the year.
After College, Christian was determined to follow his passion for coaching and mentoring. He moved to Boston where he mentors inner city high school students, continues to coach students on a large scale �through YEAA, and now focuses most�of his attention on�helping people break their limiting beliefs and maximizing their potential. I also highly recommend it for anyone who may think that they are ...

While this book may have been intended for those just coming from or going into college, I also highly recommend it for anyone who may think that they are a little more "seasoned" in the work force as well. I've been in business for the past 8 years and while I've had my share of failures and success, I could not relate any harder to this book. Christian makes his readers aware of just how much opportunity there is in this world and after reading this, I can admit that I am guilty of limiting my potential to do even greater things with my life. While I would have loved to have this book in my hand 10 years ago, I feel that the message Christian is relaying to his readers still applies to me at my age. There are certainly things in here that anyone can take with them regardless of where they are at in life. I look forward to applying the words of this book to my life and highly recommend it to anyone who wants more from life than to be content.

Powerful, Easy to Follow, Essential Message

I started this book by request of the author, Christian Chasmer, because he's a respectable colleague/friend of mine.
Upon flipping through the pages on Kindle Cloud, I stopped reading just because it was asked of me, but because the words written are incredibly meaningful and important for anyone to hear if they want to be successful. In fact, the 5 Principles outlined couldn't have come to me at a better time in my life. Not only are these 5 Principles easy to comprehend, but the book is written so well with added quotes and challenges, the principles come to life by giving you ways to put into action.

Ultimately, it took me 49 minutes to read. 49 minutes to read what could change me for a lifetime.

I plan on sharing this with my friends, siblings, and branch managers. I recommend it to anyone who wants to take an hour of their Netflix watching or Twitter scrolling in order to reevaluate what you want in your life and how to get there.

By first bad review I've ever wri
Cute, short, to the point. Nothing new or original. Not deep in any way. You can read it in one sitting. I don't think the author really understands how limiting beliefs work or are developed, and I don't think he has any idea what the law of attraction is. It felt like reading a Monday morning pep talk for a Fortune 500 company. I'm not knocking it, just keep your expectations low.

good investment

This is the book I used to prepare for the CNRN. I bought it on the kindle and then was able to have it on my iPad at home and my iPhone when I was away from home and wanted to study. There are great pictorials and charts, bookmark and highlight options with the kindle version, and very good clinical pearls noted in each chapter. I used a wide variety of study aids throughout the time I spent studying for the exam, but this was my go-to. (And I just passed my CNRN exam yesterday!)

Excellent resource

I have been teaching neuroscience nursing classes for years. I have two previous editions of this text. It is an excellent, comprehensive resource. I was especially excited to receive this new edition and find that the illustrations and charts/tables are in color! The book is very helpful to nurses working in neuro patient care areas and to any of those nurses who are preparing for the neuroscience nursing certification exam.

Academic study of vital concepts

This is a British contribution to the field. It is discerning and scholarly. Different concepts are clearly distinguished and defined. The authors have critically assessed the literature of diverse models of cognitive styles and only accept two basic dimensions --the wholistic-analytic (tendency to organise information into wholes or parts) and the verbal-imagery (tendency to represent information verbally or in mental pictures). Cognitive style is an independent construct or psychological notion, not related to intelligence, personality and gender. It is an important component of individual differences. It is related to a range of behaviours, including learning performance, social responses and occupational stress. Style (fairly fixed with probable physiological basis) is also distinct from learning strategy (can be learned). Riding and Cheema (1991) have developed a computer-based assessment tool, Cognitive Styles Analysis (CSA). Riding also has a booklet on Personal Style Aswareness (PSA) for personal development. All the representative learning style models associated with a learning-centred tradition are also evaluated. Part II elaborates on the relationship of style with behaviour. This is an academic book valuable for understanding the concepts. It is not immediately useful for teachers.
